At the Redding School District Board Meeting held at Bonny View School on Tuesday, October 11th, Community Day School 8th grade student Kendra led Board Members and the audience for the Pledge of Allegiance using sign language.
Principal Theresa Rubin said that Kendra has been practicing sign language during her earned computer lab time. Kendra aspires to be proficient in sign language, so that she can get a job as an interpreter or translator. During the Board Meeting Teacher Donna Walker also presented Instructional Assistant Christina Joyce with flowers for her patience, hard work and sincere dedication to the students at Community Day School.
Congratulations Kendra and Christina for a job well done!
