Welcome to Community Day School!
At CDS the school day starts promptly at 8:30 a.m. Students who are eating breakfast on campus should arrive at 8:15 a.m. Otherwise, students should be dropped off between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. Dismissal is at 3:00 p.m. daily, with no minimum days. All students should be picked up promptly at 3:00 p.m., as before and after school care are not available on our campus.

Transportation is provided to students residing in the Redding School District who have been assigned to CDS through the SARB process. Transportation typically takes from two to five days to arrange for students new to the program. The CDS bus driver may require that students sit in assigned seats. CDS students are held to the same bus rules as all students in the Redding School District. The Transportation Department can be reached directly at 646-3000 to answer questions and address concerns.
